Emily + Chad's fall engagement session

I love that this engagement session is all about the couple ... there aren't any distracting or frivolous props ... it's just a pretty girl and a handsome boy in love, enjoying a gorgeous fall afternoon together ... back to basics and it's beautiful.

Parisian honeymoon essentials

To me, Paris is, without a doubt, the crème de la crème of romantic hot spots and the city of light would top my list any day for a vacay, not to mention a {second, third, fourth, fifth (o: }honeymoon.

And it's style central which I adore ... I could spend a full day gazing at the deliciously-styled shop windows and taking in the incredible street fashion while sipping a café au lait at one of the many bistros that dot the Champs-Élysées.

I thought it would be fun to put together a style board of essentials to bring on a Parisian honeymoon ...

And what's great about these stylish wardrobe essentials is that you can mix and match them tons of different ways and still look polished in an undeniably Parisian way ... Pair the striped shirt under a classic trench with a pair of jeans ... mix the skirt with a dressy silk top ... wear the shoes with jeans one day and a sexy LBD the next ... use the scarf as a headwrap one day and around your neck the next ... and the sunglasses, bag and hairtie are so versatile, they could be worn with almost any ensemble!

CLASSIC BRIDE TURNS THREE!!!!

Wow, the fact that CB is turning THREE today totally slipped my mind until just a few days ago! It's been a bit of a whirlwind over here in Germany as J and I have been trying to settle into a somewhat-normal routine again ... we're still limbo-living in and out of hotels for now but we are slated to move into our new house in early September {a date I am soooo looking forward to - it can't come soon enough!}.

Even though I haven't been able to drop in and give personal accounts of everything happening with our new European adventure, I have so appreciated the many oh-so-sweet e-mails and comments from my lovely readers - your kind words have truly put a cheerful spin on this sometimes tough transition.

Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face everyday - you truly make blogging such a fabulously wonderful experience and I'm looking forward to sharing another three years with you as I embark on new travels and share my new European-inspired ideas with you.

Fresh + Classic Find: Drenched in blue, Antionette-style

Another Fresh + Classic find for you! I've been toying with the idea of setting up a photoshoot at Versailles and, of course, I can't help but turn to Sofia Coppola's jaw-droppingly gorgeous film for inspiration ... While you typically see images from Marie Antionette flaunting loads of pink, I'm finding myself drawn more to the pale blues that complimented the rosier shade.

I'd love to see a wedding follow the idea with every detail saturated in the palest blue ... from the bride's dress accented with antique diamonds to a getaway carriage with an interior outfitted in a blue vintage damask pattern ... What do you think?

And if you were planning a wedding shoot at Versailles, what inspiration would you glean from the film?

Designer Crush: Lanvin

Loving the fabulous range in Lanvin's Resort 2011 collection ... I'm imagining the top-left ethereal style for a late summer wedding along the Carolina coastline ... and the top-right ultra-chic look for a simple courthouse ceremony followed by an intimate bash with close friends and fam.

And those vibrant numbers on the second row? How lovely would they be to don while dancing the night away in Santorini? They emit such a lovely energy - perfect for honeymoons or any random getaway! ;o)

Wednesday Nesting: Tori Mellot's dash of panache

I still have the issue of Domino that details Tori Mellott's tiny 450-square feet apartment and I was super excited to see that the archived issues of the magazine are back online ... I love how comfortable and organized Tori's apartment feels and the fact that it still oozes immense style despite the size. You can see more images of the perfectly-decorated space here.

Becca + Sam's timeless wedding

This wedding pretty much personifies the word classic, from the bride's simple and flowing dress and veil to the gorgeous church in which they wed. Many of the beautiful images were taken in the historic downtown area of Lexington, Ky., and Becca and Sam's reception was held at the popular Lexington Convention Center. Enjoy:

Monday Vintage Finds: Kristin + Patrick's Austin Elopement

So this isn't just a regular ol' Monday Vintage Find ... it's a super special one because we get to take a look at one amaaazing elopement that incorporated a number of vintage elements all pulled together with beauty, grace and style.

This is my kind of wedding. Between the boutiqe hotel venue, the rad vintage car, the divine shoes and all the vintage touches, I'm in bliss ... scroll down to read what inspired the bride ...

From the bride, Kristin:
Tell us about your wedding style ...
I used the classic 1950s style as our inspiration. We also tried to keep things very simple and personal. Our friend and photographer, Paige, styled the wedding with her own things. She did a wonderful job.

Personal touches?
I think that the most personal thing was our brooch bouquet. We found almost all of the brooches ourselves at antique and thrift stores. Amanda then put the bouquet together for us. Another personal touch was that we created the ceremony ourselves with the help of our minister. Patrick wrote a poem and we each wrote our own vows. It was so special.

Favorite part of the wedding day?
It would have to be right after the ceremony when Patrick and I went inside our hotel room for a few minutes and reflected on the importance of the day. We then rejoined our friends as David played our favorite song.

Advice for brides?
Don't get so caught up in the details that you forget to have fun and live in the moment. I highly recommend a creative videographer. I love looking back on our wedding.

Fresh + Classic find: Colorful crinolines

I thought I'd bring back a little Classic Finds goodness by featuring 'Fresh + Classic' finds every once in awhile on CB ... If I get enough positive feedback, maybe I'll make it a regular series. ;o)

So to hop right in, I've lately been appreciating crinolines dyed in pretty vibrant hues ... the richer and deeper the color, the better! I'm especially smitten with Kirsten Dunst's boldly pink crinoline from Marie Antionette ... such an unexpectedly cheerful pop of color!

Designer Crush: Céline

I'll admit that those gorgeous parquet floors and weathered Parisian apartment backdrop may be making me fall deeper in love with these Resort looks from Céline but it's also because they're so approachable in design - perfect for a fall getaway {honeymoon?} to the City of Light!

{Mmmm ... and I can't wait to relish the fall weather here in Europe ... it's been more than two years since I've seen red and gold leaves dance in the air and hear them crunch beneath my feet.}

Wednesday Nesting: The Sistene Chapel of crystals ...

I'm so wanting to visit Mexico's Cueva de los Cristales (Cave of Crystals)! How about getting hitched here? Seriously, how amazing would that be?! It was already dubbed as "the Sistine Chapel of crystals" by Geologist Juan Manuel García-Ruiz so doesn't it just seem natural to become an awesome place to elope {or at least honeymoon}?

According to National Geographic, the cave "contains some of the world's largest known natural crystals—translucent beams of gypsum as long as 36 feet (11 meters)."
