Return the Love: Brittany + Bryan

Jul 12, 2010

July is CB's Return the Love month. Each day I am sharing a favorite photo{s} sent in by a reader of his/her wedding day {or engagement shoot}. It's my way of turning the table to shine the spotlight on those who have made CB the success that it is today. Cheers!

I love how fearless Brittany and Bryan were with choosing backdrops for their engagement photos - so fun!

From reader Brittany:
With our upcoming wedding at Toronto's Distillery District, we knew we wanted our engagement photos to have the same kind of modern glam feel that we are creating for our wedding. There is nothing like taking a raw space and making it beautiful.

Our extremely talented photographer understood exactly what we wanted, fun and unique with a touch of glamour. Our photos were taken a few months after the Canadian winter had melted away, needless to say it was still freezing cold so to warm up we sipped coffee and Baileys and jumped in a warm car between shoots, it was such a memorable day. The photo shoot was just outside of Ottawa Ontario in a small town called Kemptville. We drove to our destination not knowing the amazing locations she had found. As we arrived at our first location, we walked through the woods; when I say walked I was over Bryan's shoulder so I wouldn't wreck my heels! [Featured above] was a old bus that was found in the middle of a clear cutting (one of my favourite spots) [and] a tree lined path. With each outfit change, piles of accessories, and even our dog Brooklyn in tow we knew as Kaja snapped each photo we would always remember that day and cherish the photos forever.

Thanks so much for sharing, Brittany! Your photos are just lovely and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! xo.

  2. I love these! The contradiction between the couple and the backgrounds is great
