Seaside photoshoot + a CURSIVE Olivetti Typewriter for sale! SOLD!

Apr 19, 2010

I think you all know how much I love manual typewriters by now and I'm pleased as punch to share another lovely for sale with you today! I found this little sugar in an antique shop along the Mississippi Sound and after falling in love with its greenish-blue colouring, I fell even harder when I discovered its irresistible flowing cursive font {see below and swoon!}.

I felt a styled seaside-inspired shoot was in order for my new Olivetti friend .... I was imagining a guestbook table set up beneath a white tent on the sand with the sound of the waves crashing in the distance ... Then again, it would be just as fab for any wedding with a vintage vibe!

About the typewriter:
This is a gorgeous seafoam green Underwood Olivetti Studio 44 Manual Portable Typewriter, manufactured in the Olivetti plant in Barcelona, Spain, in the 1950s.  It comes with its original hard carrying cover/case and has a cute handle that makes transporting a cinch.

This deliciously retro typewriter is in excellent vintage condition and has no chips or cracks. The only visible wear is found on the inside of the carrying case - there is a tiny bit of rusting on a bit of the metal inside the case but overall, it is in superb condition. All keys are working and the return bell lets out the most delightful ring. The typeface is Elite, a charming cursive font which can be seen below. The typewriter measures approximately 11" wide x 15" deep x 5" high.

Note: The typewriter ribbon has dried out a little bit, so it will need to be replaced with a fresh universal ribbon to produce crisp letters.

Price: $295.00 + shipping SOLD!
If you're interested in the typewriter and would like to request a shipping quote, just message me your zip code at theclassicbride@gmail.com! First come, first serve.

Love, love, love the flowing cursive typeface:

The typewriter comes with its original case, cleaning tools and the most adorable heart-shaped 'Sweetheart Super Korectype' which appears to have never been used. Adorable touch next to the typewriter for a guestbook station!

Bonus!
All the props shown in this shoot are also for sale so if you see anything you're keen on, just drop me a note at theclassicbride@gmail.com for pricing and shipping info.

Even more:
The candy-apple red stack of books and the Typewriting Technique manual shown below are also for sale! I love how they match the one red key and accents on the typewriter! The Typewriting Technique manual has a copyright from 1936 and I think it would be charming sitting next to the typewriter to create some more vintage visual decor! If you're interested in any of the books or other props, message me at theclassicbride@gmail.com for pricing and shipping information.

And isn't that boutonniere shown above the cutest?! Purchase your own from Hope's super sweet Etsy shop, The French Mouse! She has the most beautifully hand-crafted items for your wedding!
