{My} Wedding Cakestand AUCTION! Place your bids now! CLOSED

Apr 7, 2010

AUCTION HAS CLOSED

After receiving countless inquiries from sweet readers about the vintage cakestand I used in my wedding, I started playing around with the idea of selling it ... I truly would love to see another bride enjoy its beauty on her wedding day but with so many interested parties, I couldn't decide on a fair way to part with it.

Well, I think I've finally come up with a fair solution -- I am putting my darling cakestand up for auction! :o)

Let me tell you a little bit about her and if she makes your heart sing like she did mine, read on for info about bidding!

ABOUT
I found the vintage silverplated pedestal cakestand, shown above, in a tiny antique shop outside of Charleston, SC. The cakestand features a stunning grape and leaf design along the edging, creating a beautiful fence-like effect around the cake. It was featured along with my wedding in Wedding Style Guide, which can be seen here. The cake stand measures 8" tall with a diameter of 12.5" wide. The 'fence' measures 1.5" tall. It is a relatively light piece but as you can see, it easily supported our three-tiered wedding cake.

HOW TO BID
To bid, just leave a comment on this post including your bid amount as well as a valid e-mail address. Bidding will start at $90.00 and bid increments must be no less than $10.00. The auction will close on Friday, April 30th at midnight CST. Payment will be accepted via PayPal and domestic U.S. shipping will be included at no additional cost to the winning bidder.

Happy bidding! :o)

  6. $200.00

My fiance and I are going to cut a very simple, homemade cake -- one that I am making myself. This cakestand would be a gorgeous addition to the day.
