Wednesday Nesting: Grey + White

Feb 24, 2010

I know the height of the grey fad has come and gone but I am currently falling hard for this lovely hue and am dying to re-paint and re-cover the lone French chair in our living room in a brilliant grey and white ... anyone else hopping on this trend a little late?

{Please excuse the model's unlady-like pose in the first photo ... Goodness, I didn't notice it until now ... I was too transfixed on those delicious chairs!}

  3. I meant the frenzied pitch of the popularity of grey ... over the past few seasons, I was seeing it *everywhere* ... both in fashion and interior design ... the popularity seems to be waning a bit now ... at least to me.

    But, obvs, I'm still a fan, too!

  4. I know what you mean about the fad. My particular love of grey definitely tends more towards the exquisitely effortless way the the french use it...faded grey paint on elaborate armoires, kitchens painted gray and accented with weathered butcher blocks and textured linens, and worn gray velvet on louis style chairs! Hmmmm....delicious...

  5. Hope: Yes - you said perfectly! That's absolutely what I typically go for, as well ... I think the reason the chairs I featured in the post appealed to me was that were essentially the inverse of what I usually gravitate toward :o) {A fresh and modern take on the authentic French grey}
