Classic Finds: Antique Skeleton keys on FoF

Nov 13, 2009

Continuing with my fall guest posts, click over to Flights of Fancy for my full board and post on collecting vintage skeleton keys and for tips on incorporating them in your wedding ... so many great options ... adorable for decorating escort cards ... strung through ribbon, they make a great heirloom gift for bridemaids/flowergirls ... if you have another idea, please share in the comments!

And if you're hunting for your own collection of vintage skeleton keys, make sure you check out the three darlings I currently have available at CB Vintage - they're in the top left photo above! {the smallest one is engraved and reads: "1 Natl. Cash Register Co.; Dayton, Ohio." Check them all out here!}

  1. I love the old keys! I have an old key pendant from my great-grandmother that I need to work into the ceremony somehow. Maybe on the bouquet?

  5. My daughter is having a Vintage theme for her reception and we will be hanging them by ribbons from a "Wishing" Tree with a little framed sign that asks guest to write the "key" to a successful marraige. I have collected enough for every day of their first year so they can read one a day.
