  1. This headpiece is breathtaking and the beads would match my gown so well! Wedding planning and paying is difficult for me because I work for a non-profit agency as a counselor and we just lost a substantial amount of our funding and cutting my work hours. If that wasn't enough my mom has come down with an illness, still to be determined, and has been unable to work. We are all in good spirits though and are just working with what we have!

  2. Love this hairpiece (just what I was looking for as I've decided not to wear a traditional veil)!
Well, here's our little bit of economy sadness: My Mr., myself, and our son have just returned from the U.K. (my Mr. had gone there to study at University). After about 30+ job applications so far we haven't had any replies (not even a no)from any of them. So upon our return we are now living with my parents, their 4 cats, and dog, and the 3 of us in a itty bitty half a double. We came back to the States with no home, no car, and needless to say, no money (now we've got $100 dollars left until someone decides to be our savior and employ us). We are lucky that our parents are giving us somewhere to go but with a child and a pending wedding it is hard at times to keep your head up and stay positive! I am sure whomever wins this piece will be smiling on her special day! Thanks for the giveaway and good luck to everyone!

  3. Gorgeous and so stunning hair piece!!
I know there are lots of "bride-to-be" who have been affected with this ecomony. My fiance had his job of his dreams. He had found a career that fit his degree plus he had the complete package of benefits. A year later he was laid off. This put our wedding on hold. He felt horrible and that he couldn't provide me the wedding of my dreams. He wants to make sure that he could provide something for me.
This may had put our wedding in delay but our love is stronger then ever.
We are now setting our wedding for May 2010. We are crossing our fingers that there will not be another obstacle loop. If so, we are ready for it.
Good luck to everybody because this is very stunning :)

  4. Such a beautiful piece and just what I dream of wearing. I know I am not the only one in this position, but we're really struggling to have our little wedding next year. I just graduated with my Masters and while paying off student loans am unable to find a decent paying job. I am lucky to be working, but my small wage barely covers my modest living expenses. In addition, I have also had some medical issues that are going to cost thousands of dollars (even with my insurace) to fix. We are so happy to be getting married and cannot wait until next June, but the stress of pinching every single penny adds up.
This piece is so gorgeous and would be a great way to spruce up my very modest dress.

  5. I love this headpiece... It matches my dress and colors! We are having to pay for the Wedding ourselves... And are having to do everything ourselves too... My parents are divorced and neither can afford to pay for my wedding... It has been hard but everything is coming together! This headpiece would complete me on my Wedding day!

  6. This piece is absoultely gorgeous. It is just what I have been envisioning for my hair and makes me very excited. My fiance will be finishing up his masters degree in the spring of '10 and was recently laid off from his part-time job, causing him to take out more loans. I will be going back to school in the fall to advance my specialty and career prospects. Because of this, our wedding budget is pretty limited, which we are okay with. We are very excited about doing a lot of planning through 'alternative' methods, which also allows for some creativity and out of the box thinking. My grandmother is making my dress and I think this piece would add the flare needed to compliment my dress without overdoing it.

    Thank you for this opportunity.

  7. I'm really in love with this. Our wedding is on a very tight budget. We have so many things to book but simply can't afford it. I did get my dress (At David's Bridal) for an amazing price. I got an ivory dress and this head piece matches it so perfectly. I'd love to win this!

  8. Beautiful headpiece! We've been hit really hard because I've been laid off of my job and my fiance is a student, so I've been wedding planning and job searching. I've been buying a lot of second hand items off of craigslist and ebay, including my dress, veil, and most of the decorations for the reception. Thanks for hosting this!

  9. I know someone getting remarried and will be wearing a beautiful silk suit and this would be beautiful for her long hair without being too fancy schmancy like she is avoiding

  10. We are two very traditional people trying to have a meaningful wedding on a budget that is basically being financed entirely by my fiance's military salary. Though the most important part of our wedding to us is the church mass, we are finding that even that has costs that are adding up significantly. I recently graduated from college (great, student loans...) and pretty much received no job offers, despite having spent the year mercilessly sending out applications and tapping the three internships I had had in previous summer for leads, but no dice. I decided instead (well, it was my only option) to go and get a Masters degree (great, even more debt), hoping it will add to my resume and help with me finding a job after it's done in June. But because I'm still a student and making no money, and my parents are really not on board with this whole wedding thing, we're paying for this wedding entirely ourselves, or, like I said before, more like the fiance is paying for it himself. He's even volunteering to go on an extra deployment in the spring, a few months before the wedding, to have a little extra money for us. I'm trying not to think too much about potentially not having a job after I am done with my Masters in June (what a nightmare), but for now I am concentrating on finding ways to save for this wedding (even $100 I can throw together here and there helps). This headpiece is beautiful and definitely fits with the classic, vintage look we're trying to have for our simple wedding. It would be a beautiful piece to win.

  11. What a beautiful accessory! The sad state of the economy has forced my parents to close their business and file for personal bankruptcy. It is so hard to see your parents go through something so humbling and challenging. It has killed my mom that she cannot provide ANY money towards our wedding. Because of the bankruptcy you are legally bound to what you can spend any cash that you might have. It is because of this my fiance and I are paying for everything...we do recognize all of our blessing and we are so excited to become husband and wife after dating 5 years. God has been good to us in so many ways, but financially it is very tough. Although this headpiece is a small part in the grand scheme of things it will represent more of the good in this joyous occasion! Thanks for the opportunity-smarie.tx@gmail.com

  12. cdziuba@aol.com It's so lovely. My fiance and I are doing a Justice of The Peace wedding with a VERY small reception, just immediate family for cake and coffee. Finances are tight, thanks for the chance to win. Kristen

I have been planning my wedding for nearly a year, The date is set for May 30, 2010. I found my dress early on and planned my entire wedding around it. I am planning a very vintage wedding with the colors being dusty rose, gold and mauve. I lost my job just recently and in order to cut the budget I have cut out many things including my accessories; veil, jewelry, hair accessories. I think that this hairpiece would accent every part of my wedding day look.

  15. Chris and I got engaged a few years ago (literally). He was in the Navy at the time, and I didn't really have any job prospects. I decided to go to law school to wait out the economy a bit and because I thought it would be a good place for me. I'm doing really well, and at any other time, I could find a job using my degree. However, there are literally no jobs for new law grads. They're calling us the "lost generation." Needless to say, I am hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, have few options to even find a job, Chris is half way around the world serving our country, and our wedding is put off indefinitely. We're trying to buy (or win!) little things as we go like cake toppers, jewelry, etc. as we can afford it. We hope that in a few years we'll have slowly collected enough things and saved up enough money to have the wedding of our dreams.

  16. I have been searching for a unique headpiece inspried by the hair band that my mother wore 25 years at her wedding. Just like my mom and dad, our budget is very small. My mom would be touched to see me wearing this hairpiece and I would be thrilled to wear it.

  17. The perfect headpiece! I am a big fan of bobbijordan and have admired many of the gorgeously unique accessories. Like many brides, as the big day draws closer our budget seems to be shrinking with the economy. Small elegant details have become my focus to retain an ambiance which will support the importance of this day. On our first date, my fiancé and I discovered our mutual love for wine so we are having a wine themed wedding. Like wine, our relationship has improved over time and continues to appreciate in value. These vine curls and the pearls are the exact exquisite finishing touch to make my heart skip a beat. It must have been made for my classic wedding day! I would be honored to win this gorgeous headpiece.

  18. This is such a beautiful hairpiece! It would look great with my dress, which is a super simple chiffon and tulle shift (and I scored at a sample sale!). There's no embellishment, so I've been looking for ways to up the sparkle-ante. My fiance proposed last year while he was unemployed, though luckily he's found work again, a small miracle in this day and age. My dad is currently unemployed so we're paying for much of the wedding ourselves and trying to be quite practical about it. Anyway, it would be a joy to win -- your work is gorgeous and perfect for the day!

  19. Beautiful! I chose not to have any beading or bling on my dress, and kept it very simple and calssic. I've been looking for something that adds some sparkle and interest, but isn't so loud. This is perfect!
