The getaway, part three

Continuing the winter wedding theme, wouldn't it be so fitting to make your getaway in a picture-perfect sleigh? Imagine a hand-painted 'Just Married' sign hung on the back.

You could also offer sleigh rides as your favor throughout the night to guests! You could have wool throws tucked in to help couples and families get toasty and they could bring along your signature cocktail/drink {Hot Toddy, Irish coffee, spiked cider} to keep extra warm.

Can you tell I miss the snow? :o)

  1. I am a winter bride - and I have to tell you it was the best thing possible!

    1) Venues are less expensive in the winter when there are no brides fighting for the same date.

    2) It is a fun celebration in the dead bleak middle of winter. It gives people a party to look forward to!

    3) We love to plan a trip for our anniversary each year. It is the week before presidents day which means that the following Monday makes for a long holiday weekend. A 10 day vacation can be squeezed in with less "vacation days" taken!

Not only that, but each year we can decide whether we want to go to the beach and get warm OR go to the mountains and ski.

How fabulous, no? Our honeymoon was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Last year, we went to Rome (60 and sunny!) and this year we are off to Whistler Mountain to ski again. Maybe next year we'll go to the Caribbean!

    Food for thought! ; )
