We bought loads of vintage-themed bottles of Coca-Cola, root beer, apple juice, Dr. Pepper and lots of other cute bottled drinks like Oranginas, Pellegrinos and Perriers for our Sunday brunch ... luckily, for us, we had lots left over and have been busy enjoying them.
But now, we're left with lined-up rows of the empty bottles and it's too hard to just part with them. I've thought about keeping just a few for occasional bud vases but I thought I'd ask my readers if they had any better ideas? Floor is yours. :o)

How about a chandelier? I've seen them with milk bottles and wine bottles - I'm sure you could find light kits for small enough bulbs to fit inside the bottles you have! Here's a link to DesignSponge's example: http://www.designspongeonline.com/2008/06/diy-project-whitneys-mason-jar-lights.html
ReplyDeletefun to have unique and creative ideas like this. need to get more people involved with thinking in a this way for their weddings. reuse of stuff is great.

I've seen someone create a coffee table from old soda bottles...They were laid on their side with the tops/necks facing opposite directions intermingled and then a piece of glass laid on top. Of course you would probably need a "shadow box like" table to begin with - or if your handy with power tools you could make one!
ReplyDeleteIf you can find someone who works with glass, I've seen old bottles re-purposed as drinking glasses. The bottle neck needs to be removed, but if you can find someone to do it, that would be a cool collection and daily reminder of your fun wedding.
