Ugggh ... Back to Hair

Sep 13, 2008

My whole hair disaster has prompted me to return to the drawing desk and re-think my options. I've decided to try out something completely new, a modern half-up, half-down with curls:

{from Brides.com}

... Not at all what I was originally envisioning but might work.
And ...

The style I was originally coveting ... I *love* the volume and drama but I'm considering this for the back:

What style are you trying?

{I've lost most of the photo credits to these so if they belong to you, let me know and I'll credit}

  1. OOH, I loooooooooooooooove SpringChic's hair! You've GOT to try that! The wavy look seems very retro- at least you know it won't wilt halfway through the reception!

  2. I did half up/half down for my wedding in August. I had a lot of people tell me that I should be wearing it up so that I didn't have to worry about it all day, but I never touched my hair. It stayed all day/all night and didn't look much different at midnight than it did at noon! For pics, see here: http://community.theknot.com/cs/ks/user/page.aspx?username=Mrs AET

    Unfortunately, my fabulous hair dresser is in Traverse City, MI (which won't really work for you!). She was amazing and all my girls loved her. I do have to say, if you aren't happy with the first trial, I would schedule your apt an hour earlier than what you think you'll need so you can tweak it as much as possible the morning of. GL!!

  5. I think that the first photo is much more fresh as a style. Plus the women is very attractive so she could wear anything. If your face is fuller like springchic and need to distract from that then springchic's style is best. You need to work with what you have.
