Our invites are -FINALLY- almost done! Just have to go to the post office tomorrow and make sure of the postage before I put the (Louis Comfort Tiffany) stamps on!
Question time! For the reply card envelope, I addressed it to myself as I'll be keeping track of returned RSVPs ... But am I supposed to ALSO put a return address on the envelope flap ... which would be the same address as on the front? I feel silly for asking this but I saw it mentioned in some online instructions and couldn't stop thinking about it!
One more: I keep reading that Weekend Activity cards, etc., should be on top of the actual invitation. I hate how that looks! Is it really that big of a deal?Maybe this answers that last question:

i would have never known (as a guest) that the weekend card should have been at the top. and i dont think u need to put your address on the back flap of the rsvp card...i didnt! you are good to go!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think you can put your cards in any order you think they look the best, or that will garner the notice of your guests. No need for the return address label, but don't be surprised if some of your guests stick their own return address labels on the rsvp envelopes!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI just want to say that the cartoon image on the bottom cracked me up! I just mailed our wedding invites this week and felt that my groom to be barely even looked at them and I spent months going over them!
I would agree and say any order is fine. :)
You must be so excited to have your invitations almost done! We just put our return address on the front, some of our guests wrote their return addresses when they mailed them back to us. I think it's ok to put the invitations in any order too! That cartoon is funny :)
ReplyDeleteLOL!! Yes - I think that totally answers your question! I wouldn't worry about the weekend activity card placement.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you, I don't think you need a return address on the back flap of your RSVP envelope.
They're really beautiful, by the way!
I love your invitations! They are simple but elegant. I also agree that it doesn't matter what order you put the cards in and you don't need to put a return address on the RSVP envelope.
ReplyDeleteI adore these invitations (and your taste, in general). Who designed these? I am looking for a similar simply elegant invitation design --
ReplyDeleteI am so excited that i discoveed this blog!
kamble712: Thank you!! The invitations are by Martha Stewart! I picked them up at Michaels and even used a 40% off coupon! I ended up getting two boxes but this endeavor was extremely economical. J was happy about that! ;o) Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, great blog! 2nd, I don't think it matters at all. I have had more people tell me that they've misplaced their invites than those that haven't, therefore I know they don't remember the order of the invites.lol
ReplyDeleteI think the invitation should definitely be on top, because it's the main event! The wedding is why everyone is coming, not for the other activities, so give it the importance it deserves and have it the first thing people see when they open their envelope :-)
