paper update.

Jun 13, 2008

Four hours later, I am finally *done* tracing, cutting out, stuffing and adhering our envelope liners for the invites and the rsvps ... whew! Looking at the photo, it looks like a silver zebra is living inside our envelopes. I can assure you, one is not. It is actually 'silver wood grain,' according to Martha.

And I decided to re-do our favor labels and add a little punch of color. Do they look too craftsy? I'm not sure about them.

  1. lining envelopes is not an easy task. well done, they look wonderful. i love the martha stewart wood grain papers. in fact i have a multi-pack sitting by my desk ... if only i had a reason to use it.

and i enjoy your favor labels. they are a bit craftsy, but is that a bad thing?

  2. Your envelopes look fantastic!
I will definitely be consulting Martha when it comes to projects like that! :)

Also- your favor labels are totally cute. "Too craftsy" would be putting a teddy bear border around it. I say it's a winner!!

  4. I do think they are a little crafty looking. I think it's the combo of the colors with the design. Looks a bit like Country Kitchen motif to me. It doesn't go with the cool wood grain thing you've got going on with the invitations. It kinda sticks out to me. Now, I haven't seen any of the other paper products, so it might fit.

  6. I like the label but is it cut freehand on purpose? That's what sticks out as "too craftsy" to me . . . if they were my labels I would buy a circle punch and cut them out into perfect circles to make them look more professional.

  10. very nice, very soft pretty design.

I went to a wedding recently for a friend of mine. she did something similar with labels - i actually kept one as a souvenir type thing. said she got it at http://www.labelsonthefly.com/and it sort of helped bring everything together.
