dance floor.

Aug 29, 2007

was thinking about dance floors the other day.
i've never been fond of the kind that resemble plywood taped to the floor.
can't decide on this one. i'm a huge black/white fan, as well as checkerboard tile fan.
but somehow, this seems a little overwhelming to me.
maybe just go with a safe, natural dance floor -- like grass.

  1. I like b&w dance floors -- that's the current plan for our reception -- but I agree, in the picture you show, it looks a little overwhelming. Is it clashing with the floor? I can't really tell. Could it work with bigger squares? Here's an inspiration picture that I love: http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z171/LNsBeatles/dancefloor-lamps.jpg

  3. You know ... looking at this picture again ... I think the issue is the relative square sizes. It needs bigger squares. The smaller squares give a dizzying effect. Does that make sense?
